NHL Has Officially Canceled Preseason

The NHL has announced that they will be canceling the preseason this year because of the lock-out they are in. This will affect all preseason games through September 30. This move is not very surprising because as we reported earlier, the  collective bargaining agreement expired at midnight Saturday.They still have not started talks STILL about a new agreement. League staffers were told they’d be forced to take 20 percent pay cuts and would be transitioning to a four-day work week beginning Oct. 1. The move to cancel games is also an indication that the start date of the NHL’s regular-season schedule  Oct. 11 is in jeopardy
